Working Together with Our Community Partners
At Gleaners Food Bank, we believe that no one should go hungry — and we know that this work can’t be done alone. That’s why we are proud to partner with a wide network of community organizations, agencies, and programs who share our vision of a hunger-free community.
How We Collaborate
- Other Food Banks & Pantries: Through our role as Feed Ontario’s regional Hub, we share food resources and work together to ensure that families across our region have access to nutritious food.
- Community Meal Programs & Shelters: We supply ingredients and bulk food items that help local kitchens prepare healthy meals for those experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, or financial hardship.
- Non-Profits & Service Agencies: Many of our partners support people with housing, mental health, employment, and other needs. By providing them with food, we help ensure their clients have one less worry as they work toward stability.
- Schools, Faith Groups, and Volunteers: From food drives to fundraising events, our community partners mobilize the people and resources needed to keep our shelves stocked and our programs running.
Why Partnership Matters
Hunger is a community-wide challenge that requires community-wide solutions. By working together, we can:
- Reach more people in need
- Reduce food waste by sharing resources efficiently
- Provide consistent, nutritious options for families
- Build stronger connections across our region
